Google released the latest version of Gemini 1.5 Pro on April 9th, a significant update to the version released on February 15th.
The newest iteration of Gemini not only supports context inputs of up to 1 million tokens and code but also introduces significant updates in parsing audio and video. Additionally, its capabilities in reasoning, multimodality, instruction following, and many other evaluation aspects have been strengthened.

- Visit the website deepmind.google.
- Click on “Technologies” at the top of the webpage.
- Scroll down and click on “Gemini.”
- On this page, you can learn more about how Gemini operates, watch videos, and read papers. However, we will skip these and scroll down to the section “Introducing Gemini 1.5,” then click on “Try Gemini 1.5.”
- After logging in, you should see “You’re all set!” Click on “Get started” to proceed.
This will take you to the interface, where in Google AI Studio, simply go to the model settings on the right side and ensure you have selected Gemini 1.5 Pro instead of Gemini 1.0 Pro.
Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re ready to use it!
